The
8x21 binoculars alone are worth far more than the entire survivor set. These are not just cheap, light-duty binoculars. Yes, the binoculars are value priced, but they are solidly built and are rubber armored with green-coated optics, collapsible eye cups (for people with eyeglasses), an adjustable right eyepiece (for balancing the focus for your eyes), and have a finger-adjustable focusing wheel. It also comes complete with a lanyard. We found these binoculars to be remarkably sharp and bright. They collapse into a compact size that easily fits into a pocket. 8x21 means an 8x power magnification with a 21 millimeter lens, which is plenty of magnification for emergency and survival situations.
The
compass is a lightweight pathfinder-type compass with a latching cover that contains a signal mirror. The compass has a scaled, 360 degree rotating bezel to help plot your course on a map. The sides of the compass are ruled in inches and millimeters. A neck lanyard is attached.
All of this fits into a
camouflaged storage pouch. The pouch is made from a ballistic nylon material and has a soft lining and a carrying strap. The pouch measures 5 inches by 5 inches by 1.75 inches deep. All of the survival items fit easily into the pouch with room to spare for other small items. There is also a zippered pouch on the outside for storing small items, such as band aids or medical supplies (not included).
