This is a green LED light rechargeable cap light designed for campers, hikers and hunters. Most woodland animals are color-blind and specifically cannot see green light. This makes green light less disturbing to wildlife, which makes it easier for you to find your way along a trail or find your hunting stand in the dark. Due to the nature of green light, many people report that they can see better in the dark with a green LED cap light than they can with a standard white light LED cap light. Green light also enhances the colors found on maps, and thus maps are easier to read in the dark when using green light.
This is a premium cap light design that clips to the brim of any baseball-style cap, most western hats and most hats with a brim. It weighs only 1.7 ounces.
The N-rit 6 LED G3 Rechargeable Cap Light model can be recharged up to 550 times by connecting the 36 inch USB cable (included) to a USB port on your personal computer. This unit will cost much less to run over time than cap lights with replaceable batteries and pays for itself with only a few recharges.
This G3 model is full-featured and engineered for heavy use. It uses with super bright LEDs that are 2.5 times brighter than other cap lights. It is lightweight and water resistant. Depending upon which lighting modes you select, the cap light should have a running time of approximately 25 to 70 hours, and perhaps more if you are only using minimal features.
The 6 ultra-bright LED array consists of 2 green light inner LEDs, 2 outer white light LEDs, and 2 red LEDs on the sides. There is a power switch on the bottom and a 5-mode button that controls which lights are on at any given time.
The 5 modes are:
- Mode 1 - 2 center green LEDs on constantly - 70 hours running time
- Mode 2 - 4 center LEDs on constantly - 40 hours running time
- Mode 3 - 4 center LEDs on constantly with 2 blinking red LEDs - 29 hours running time
- Mode 4 - 2 red blinking LEDs - up to 130 hours running time
- Mode 5 - 2 red LEDs on constantly - 85 hours running time
The red LEDs are also great for fishing and hunting, where you need to see what you are doing, but do not want to scare the fish. Light at the red end of the color spectrum is a low energy wavelength that does not shine very far.
One of the best features for night fisherpeople is the built-in ultrasonic bug repellent, which helps keep those nasty mosquitoes and flies away!
