Why Use Red LEDs?
Red light is low energy wavelength and thus does carry for a great distance. The military has used red filtered flashlights for many years due to fact that they are not easily detectable at a distance, plus red light enhances the colors typically found on maps and the maps are easier to read than with white light. Night vision enthusiasts, star watchers, military, police and people who work with nocturnal animals all prefer using red lights.
The MasterVision N-Rit G2 3-LED 308G2R Cap Light fits any stiff-brimmed baseball-style hat (hat not included). It weighs only one ounce with the two standard CR2032 batteries (batteries included). It has a push-button switch to turn it on and off. You can also control the brightness by selecting to use one or three LEDs.
