Why Use Black Light LEDs?
Black light, also called ultraviolet or UV, has many interesting uses. It is primarily used by
fishermen to cause fluorescent fishing line and lures to glow in the dark. Black light is also used to
detect pet stains on carpeting and upholstery (urine and other biological stains glow under black light), for
scorpion hunting (scorpions glow under black light),
currency validation,
freon leak detection, and many other uses.
The MasterVision N-Rit 308G2BLK 3-LED G2 Black Light Cap Light fits any stiff-brimmed baseball-style hat (hat not included). It weighs only one ounce with the two standard CR2032 batteries (batteries included). It has a push-button switch to turn it on and off. You can also control the brightness by selecting to use just one or all three LEDs.
Note: Don't expect a black light cap light to look very bright. Ultraviolet light is on the edge of the visible light spectrum n the 400 to 600 nanometers range. While it doesn't look bright to the human eye because we can't see ultraviolet light, it actually is very bright.

Black light devices are not toys and must be kept away from children. Ultraviolet light should never be shined directly at eyes, face or skin. UV light is on the fringe of the visible spectrum and is much stronger than it appears to the human eye.
